FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. – The American Concrete Institute’s (ACI) annual Excellence in Concrete Construction Awards has introduced a new Bridge Category for 2024. Due to the increase of nominations in the Infrastructure Category, the International Project Awards Committee has added an eighth category for project submission.

The ACI Excellence in Concrete Construction Awards honors exceptional and innovative concrete construction from around the world. Projects are recognized for the degree of innovation, complexity, achievement, and value that concrete as a material provided.

The submission deadline for the 2024 project awards cycle is April 29, 2024. Recently completed and nominated concrete projects are juried by an independent panel of industry professionals for first- and second-place category awards. One project will stand out by receiving the Overall Excellence Award on Monday, November 4, 2024, during the Fall ACI Concrete Convention in Philadelphia, PA, USA.

A project may also be nominated by paying a nonrefundable $500 nomination fee. The fee helps cover administrative costs and allows the program to continue to grow. This fee is waived for projects nominated by an ACI Chapter or International Partner.  Nominated projects must be a new construction that has been substantially completed within 36 months of the submission deadline.

Celebrating concrete excellence from around the world, the ACI Excellence Awards provide a platform to recognize concrete projects at the forefront of innovation and technology. To learn more or submit a project, please visit ACIExcellence.org.
