DuPont to present a technical paper on Vgbe Conference Chemistry 2023
DuPont Water Solutions will be taking part in the vgbe Conference Chemistry 2023, which will be held at the Maritim Hotel Ingolstadt, from October 25-27.
DuPont will be hosting an exhibition space (booths 12 & 13) where visitors can learn how its multi-technology solutions, including ultrafiltration (UF), Ion Exchange Resins (IX) and reverse osmosis (RO), are delivering sustainable, efficient and cost-effective water treatment systems for the power industry.
In addition, Jochen Henkel, Technical Service & Development Engineer for DuPont Water Solutions, will present the following paper: “Possibilities and effects of sulphate removal from flooded opencast mine regions for process water treatment in power plants.” His presentation introduces technical possibilities to reduce sulfate from the feedwater using nanofiltration and ion exchange technology and how this impacts existing water treatment plants.
The conference, which was previously held in Würzburg and known as ‘Chemistry in Power Plants,’ will cover a wide range of topics including the conditioning of water steam cycles and cooling water cycles; methods of water preparation and wastewater treatment; chemical aspects of coal-firing and co-firing; chemical aspects of flue gas cleaning processes and carbon dioxide (CO2) separation; analytics and quality assurance, and chemistry in nuclear power plants.
