“This new office enhances HNTB’s ability to strategically serve our clients in New Hampshire and support transportation priorities that will improve mobility for travelers throughout the region,” said Paul Godfrey, PE, HNTB’s northern New England office leader and vice president. “We look forward to expanding our current Concord-based staff as we continue to partner with transportation agencies throughout northern New England.”
Most recently, HNTB has supported the New Hampshire Department of Transportation’s conversions to open road tolling, the redevelopment of the Hooksett service area and the Portsmouth Memorial Bridge replacement, among other projects.
HNTB’s presence in northern New England began in 1945 with the opening of an office in Portland, Maine. Since that time, the firm has played an integral role in many important infrastructure programs in Maine and New Hampshire. Several projects for NHDOT are just underway, including the I-93 bridge rehabilitations in Manchester and Hooksett, and the new all-electronic tolling (AET) conversion projects at the existing Dover and Rochester toll plazas along the Spaulding Turnpike. HNTB also is evaluating various intelligent transportation system (ITS) strategies along I-93 in Concord to help improve mobility and safety.
HNTB anticipates future growth and will look to fill upcoming available positions in highway, bridge, traffic, right-of-way and tolling services.
