The experienced professionals have joined the team as part of the recent CGL Companies acquisition 

 

MINNEAPOLIS — February 7, 2024 — NELSON Worldwide, an award-winning architecture, design, and strategy firm, is excited to announce the addition of four accomplished team members to the Civic and Justice practice: Kenneth Ricci, Vice President, Business Development Leader; Jongmin Kim, Vice President, Design Leader; Enrique Maciá, Vice President, National Design Leader; and Michael Lynch, Technical Leader. As seasoned industry professionals, each bring with them decades of justice consulting and maintenance experience, joining the NELSON team as part of the firm’s recent strategic agreement with CGL Companies.

  • Kenneth Ricci has joined the team as Vice President, Business Development Leader, Civic and Justice, expanding the firm’s footprint in the justice field and prioritizing civic good. A multi-faceted professional with a commitment to humanity as the foundation for design decisions, Kenneth challenges himself and his teams to think holistically, ask hard questions about architecture’s role in the justice system, and re-examine established paradigms to achieve solutions that defy expectations.
  • Jongmin Kim has joined the team as Vice President, Design Leader of the Community, Civic, and Justice, overseeing technical design and production for multiple justice projects and ensuring an unwavering commitment to quality. Fueled by a passion for sustainability in justice system design, Kim will engage with project owners and contractors, providing timely assistance and leadership to foster strong relationships. 
  • Enrique Maciá has joined the team as Vice President, National Design Leader of the Civic and Justice practice, working closely with the Civic and Justice team and Regional Leaders to ensure that the design and execution of the firm’s justice projects meet the highest standards of excellence and quality, enhance the public realm, and contribute to the safe and effective operation of those institutions. 
  • Michael Lynch has joined the team as Technical Leader of the Civic and Justice practice, supporting the team on the west coast, working on judicial projects of varying scales – from schematic design through construction administration – to ensure compliance with state and local codes as well as client design requirements.
