Stantec’s Water Practice Expands in North Carolina

Raleigh, NC, NYSE, TSX: STN – Global design and engineering firm Stantec has welcomed a strategic hire to its Water practice in Raleigh, North Carolina. Stephanie Holloman has joined as Water/Wastewater practice leader, bringing over a decade of expertise in water and wastewater engineering.

In her role, Holloman will focus on supporting the group’s strategic growth and success in the market. She will also mentor and manage a team of design professionals and technicians to effectively deliver projects involving the planning and design of a wide array of civil and water resources projects, predominantly water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure.

“Effective water resources management and treatment continues to be a rising need in our region, requiring specialized expertise to deliver right-size solutions,” said Rob Stout, PE, senior principal. “For this reason, we’re thrilled to bring Stephanie on board with her proven track record supporting municipalities in modernizing and enhancing their infrastructure.”

Holloman brings a diverse set of skills that combines creativity with critical thinking to identify practical solutions for local communities. She is an integral project leader with extensive experience in the municipal water/wastewater infrastructure field, ranging from collection and conveyance to potable water treatment and wastewater reclamation.

Notable project experience includes several significant interceptor improvement projects involving capacity and condition evaluations, routing analyses, inverted siphon design, trenchless installation techniques such as microtunneling, and innovative rehabilitation technologies. She also played an instrumental role in the design of post treatment stabilization for a water supply and treatment facility using tertiary calcite filters, the first of its kind to be installed in North Carolina.

Holloman received her bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from North Carolina State University. She is highly active in the industry, currently serving as chair of the Seminars and Workshops Committee for North Carolina American Water Works Association & Water Environment Association.
