Dewberry Collecting Lidar Data for the Southwest Florida Water Management District in Pasco County
Fairfax, VA—May 23, 2018: The Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD) has selected Dewberry, a privately held professional services firm, to collect and process lidar topographic mapping data at a minimum of eight points per square meter for Pasco County, Florida.
The firm is providing geospatial technology services that will deliver products to assess, monitor, analyze, and manage water quality, water distribution, and flood control, and support future needs for the county. Additionally, Dewberry is collecting ground control data, creating digital elevation models, and delineating building footprints and impervious features to support SWFWMD and Pasco County. Lidar data acquisition was completed in January 2018.
