“I have had the pleasure of working with Norm over many years,” says Michael Newbury, principal. “The addition of Norm will enhance an already strong mechanical team and help us deliver top tier integrated MEP services, which we have promised our clients.”

Brown has a strong resume in many of Stantec’s core markets along with an exceptional reputation in the Pacific Northwest and beyond. His career has included many highlights, including design for Marion Oliver McCaw Hall Renovation, Seattle Center Central Utility Plant, Portland Providence Medical Center Central Utility Plant, and several performing arts center projects.

Among his many career achievements, Brown was mechanical principal on the Swedish Issaquah Medical Center project, one of the top five energy performing hospitals in the nation and winner of the 2013 ASHE Vista Award for Infrastructure. Stantec’s electrical engineers worked with Brown on that project, and many others, setting the bar for teamwork and respect.

Norm is a licensed professional mechanical engineer in Washington and six other western US states. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Washington State University and is a member of American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE), and Washington State Society for Healthcare Engineering (WSSHE).
