CULTEC Inc. is a family owned and operated company with experience in the drainage industry for over 65 years. As the manufacturer of Contactor® and Recharger® Plastic Septic and Stormwater Chambers, CULTEC offers the largest variety of sizes to fit almost any site requirement. Recently, the installation of CULTEC’s Recharger 902HD chamber was utilized at Marion Elementary School in Chambersburg, Pa., to satisfy stormwater management requirements. Due to an existing septic system onsite, the units would need to be designed around a confined installation area. It has been found to perform well as a ditch check, curb or grate inlet filter, and check dam, as it reduces the turbidity, silt, and possible heavy metals and hydrocarbons in the runoff. Heavyweight Sediment Control Solutions
The DuraWattle® is a flexible sediment barrier that is made to be driven over. This reusable BMP is installable on soil, curbs or hard surfaces. Improve your perimeter control with a synthetic wattle that is durable and UV-resistant. It will remain lightweight and moveable after a rain event, and it doesn’t break down or leech pollutants. Each 12-foot section of the DuraWattle® fits together to create a continuous barrier tested at 96.6 percent sediment retention (ASTM D7351) and 58 percent turbidity reduction. The low profile of the DuraWattle® helps improve visibility and site access. This berm provides effective dewatering by allowing the water to flow through the barrier rather than ponding behind it. Rainstore3 from Invisible Structures Inc. is a unique structure used to store stormwater underground. Made from injection-molded plastic, a single panel contains 36 vertical columns and supports H-20 loading, allowing the construction of driving areas, parking lots or other small structures above the system. Built-in compression fittings allow units to be easily stacked to a variety of depths up to 8’4”. Benefits include: Allows for development of valuable land resources by moving stormwater ponds below ground; Available pre-assembled in depths from 4” to 8’4”; 94 percent open for water storage; Virtually eliminates stone requirements; Easy installation. Milliken Infrastructure Solutions
Milliken Infrastructure’s GeoSpray® geopolymer is a chemically resistant fiber-reinforced mortar system specifically engineered to rehabilitate pipes, culverts and containment areas. The GeoSpray system looks, feels and handles like cement, but with much higher performance properties. StormChamber systems are less expensive, easier and quicker to maintain than other types of underground systems. StormChambers are the strongest plastic retention/detention product, with independent testing exceeding the AASHTO H20/HL93 loading standard by over four times. They have been installed in up to four layers; single layers with up to 29 feet of cover. No other plastic chamber has been installed in more than two layers. None allow cover to exceed 12 feet.
