Schneider Electric and Aster are coming together to organize an Innovation Hub on the theme of Digital Energy, in collaboration with MIT’s Industrial Liaison Program (MIT ILP). The theme will be addressed through market trend analyses performed by Aster’s experts, accounts by startups in Aster’s portfolio, expert speakers from MIT and a session of presentations by young, innovative startups. This international event will bring together major companies and startups as well as investors, incubators and members of the energy community.

By organizing this international event, Aster and Schneider Electric are demonstrating their total commitment to innovation and sustainable development, as well as their interest in establishing a strong presence in the United States. The event will bring together startups from Aster’s portfolio in addition to members of the MIT ILP, startups, investors, incubators and members of the cleantech community. The startups that will be present at the event, like all those in Aster’s portfolio, will be able use this Innovation Hub to take advantage of Aster’s and Schneider Electric’s networks, as well as the networks of their partners. The day will provide ample time for discussion between sessions so as to facilitate meetings and encounters which could potentially lead to partnerships.

This Innovation Hub will bring together complementary views and expert opinions on innovation in the Digital Energy sector, calling on experts and startups alike:

  • Experts from MIT (Dr Francis O’Sullivan, Bill Aulet) will talk about innovation and new technologies in energy;
  • Experts from Aster (Kevin Deneen, Pierre Cordelle) will present their vision on the state of the photovoltaic market and market trends related to smart buildings and energy storage in buildings;
  • Six startups from Aster’s portfolio will present their products and services in the energy services sector: CoSMo, Digital Matrix, Digital Lumens, EnTouch Controls, EcoFactor and OpenDataSoft;
  • A startup pitch session will provide an opportunity for digital energy startups looking for investors, partners or potential clients to present their projects. The following startups will be present: eCurv, Equota, EnergySage, Lexumo, Sense, Tagup, Utilidata and VoltServer.

With this event, Aster is reinforcing its positioning as the partner of choice for developing innovation in major companies, supporting startups, and providing expertise in energy, manufacturing and mobility.
