Matern Professional Engineering Begins Renovation Work on Fruitland Park Elementary School

Matern Professional Engineering is pleased to announce its engineering renovation work on Fruitland Park Elementary School. The school held a groundbreaking ceremony that celebrated the start of the $5 million educational facility upgrade. Matern Professional Engineering is dedicated to providing the educational facility with modern technologies and improved efficiencies to support students’ academic experience. The project remains on schedule and is expected to be completed by the start of the 2024-2025 school year.

Located at Olive Avenue and Urick Street, the 99, 200 square-feet, two-story renovated school will sit on a 19-acre wooded site that is closer to the neighborhood where many Fruitland Park students reside.

The interior will feature state-of-the-art school amenities, including administrative offices, a cafeteria, classrooms, and various other modern educational resources.

Embracing modern education spaces, the outdoor spaces will offer learning environments and performance areas. Additionally, new basketball courts and a large soccer field will be included, which encourages students to be active and collaborative in the space.

Matern Professional Engineering partnered with D&A Construction Group, architectural designer Schenkel & Shultz, civil engineer Klima Weeks, and BBM Structural. Together they work on updating the Fruitland Park Elementary School which will serve communities for years to come.
