This specialty aviation architectural-engineering (A/E) firm is known for hiring the best in the business and will soon open Lakewood Ranch, West Palm Beach and Jacksonville offices.

Tampa, Fla. – American Infrastructure Development, Inc. (AID), a female- and minority-founded engineering firm offering innovative solutions in aviation, just celebrated its 15th anniversary but is far from reaching its maximum potential. The addition of architectural services and new expertise marks an exciting season of growth for the firm as it plans to expand to three new Florida markets.

Adding architectural services to its repertoire comes alongside AID’s hiring of a well-known name in the industry, Chip Hayward, AIA, CSI-CDT, CCS, CCCA. Chip is no stranger to architecture as his 45-year tenure has allowed him to work on numerous aviation projects in the Southeastern United States, and other projects like downtown Tampa’s 42-story-Bank of America Tower, George M. Steinbrenner Field (New York Yankees), the renovation of the Rays’ Tropicana Field, the Grand Cypress Hyatt Regency in Orlando and several high-rise condominiums in Southwest Florida. Chip also served as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Owner’s Representative/Architect/Project Manager for the design and construction of Raymond James Stadium — the famed pirate ship and all — earning him a Super Bowl ring for his work with the team.

Chip has been active in the Construction Specification Institute (CSI) for over 20 years. He has served on Tampa Bay, regional and national boards for this organization, currently serving as the Tampa Chapter President and the Southeast Region President Elect. He received one of CSI’s highest awards, the Hans William Meier Award for Advancement of Certification Programs, in 2014 for his teaching dedication of prep classes for the CSI-CDT Certification. Chip’s skillset brings the opportunity for the team to work with airports from inception to construction and completion of the owner’s goals and objectives.

“It has long been a goal of ours to offer our clients a full-service turnkey scope — between bringing Chip on board and adding architectural services, we are now able to do so,” said Sabina Chaudhry, CEO and Founder of American Infrastructure Development. “Chip brings a wealth of knowledge and experience alongside his stellar reputation in the Tampa Bay area and beyond. At AID, we are truly focused on fostering the most highly qualified talent, allowing us to offer premium A/E services to our clients.”

Across its array of services, AID currently has five offices including Orlando, Venice, Washington D.C., St. Croix and Tampa, with Tampa serving as its corporate office. In the coming months, the company plans to expand its footprint in Florida with the addition of new offices in Lakewood Ranch, West Palm Beach and Jacksonville. The office additions allow AID to offer a local presence to better serve its clients and fill a need in locations where aviation projects are in demand.

AID has worked on more than 60 airports across the country, completing projects varying in size and ranging from $25,000 to $88 million in construction costs. The company is broadening its horizons with an increased focus on servicing military facilities, commercial service and general aviation airports nationwide.
