Superior Construction Appoints New Mid-South Division Manager
Senior Project Manager Tim Koster promoted to new leadership role
INDIANAPOLIS (MARCH 4, 2024) — Superior Construction, an American family-owned infrastructure contractor, has promoted Senior Project Manager Tim Koster to Mid-South Division Manager based in Indianapolis. With an extensive and unique background in business, residential and heavy civil construction, Tim brings substantial expertise to his new role.

Tim’s construction career began in high school when he honed his skills as a carpenter and electrician. After obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management from Western Michigan University in 1995, Tim’s career path led him through various roles, including general manager at a car dealership and residential construction company owner.
Tim joined Superior Construction in 2018, initially serving as a project manager and estimator in the industrial market. His dedication and proficiency quickly earned him the position of Senior Project Manager. Now, as Mid-South Division Manager, Tim will develop and pursue large-scale transportation projects across the Indianapolis metro area, helping expand Superior’s robust regional portfolio of heavy civil transportation and industrial work. He will also head division operations, including labor and cost management.
“Tim has contributed to numerous successful projects across our region, including the Indiana Department of Transportation’s I-80/94 pavement restoration projects and the Tennessee Valley Authority project,” said Superior Midwest Business Unit President Dan Sopczak. “We’re confident his hands-on experience and commitment to excellence will help him lead the Mid-South Division well.”
Tim’s leadership style is characterized by his strong work ethic, ability to thrive under pressure, and genuine passion for building relationships with colleagues and clients. Outside work, Tim enjoys snowmobiling in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and spending time with his family.
