The NY-based architecture and design firm lands in Southeast Florida and debuts a sleek website as part of its rebrand

MIAMI — OCTOBER 11, 2023 — Global architecture, interior design, and master planning firm Spectorgroup is pleased to announce the opening of its office in the heart of Miami’s Central Business District. For more than 50 years, the New York-based firm has shaped the built environment for projects that intersect all markets, including commercial, workplace, financial, law, healthcare, and mixed-use for some of the top organizations in the world. 

In tandem with this exciting expansion, Spectorgroup underwent a dynamic rebranding, unveiling a fresh new website that reflects the company’s commitment to design excellence. The website mirrors the artistic vision of Spectorgroup’s work while showcasing the firm’s expertise, from workplace strategy to design technology, as well as its exploratory process that’s fueled by collaboration and rooted in research. Through the new site, Spectorgroup solidifies its mission of connecting people to environments through design.

With a recent surge in population, Florida has become a new hotspot for banking and financial services, while Miami, historically a stepping stone to Latin America, is emerging as one of the hottest new tech hubs in North America. Establishing a foothold in Miami will allow Spectorgroup to better serve its clients and capitalize on the strategic opportunities in the Southeast region.

In collaboration with longtime client-partner RFR Realty, Spectorgroup signed on as the building architect of a 30-story building on 100 Biscayne Boulevard to redefine the tenant experience – and occupy the 28th floor – alongside neighbors LVMH, Bulgari, Hublot and Luxottica. 

“Working with our partner RFR has been ideal. We’ve collaborated with them for more than a decade, and few organizations understand quality real estate as well as they do. RFR is the owner of such landmarks as the Seagram Building and the Chrysler Building in Midtown Manhattan, as well as the W South Beach, among others,” says Scott Spector, Principal of Spectorgroup. “We have wanted to make this move for a long time, but have been waiting for the right opportunity and the right partner. Now, we’ve found it.”

The building features unobstructed views of Bayfront Park, Port Miami, and the Downtown Miami skyline and is close to thriving neighborhoods such as the Design District, Wynwood Arts District and Miami Beach. Modeled after Spectorgroup’s New York headquarters at 200 Madison Avenue, the new office features an open plan, full pantry, and meeting rooms, reflecting Spectorgroup’s workplace culture and values that prioritize collaboration. The Miami office will maintain the firm’s commitment to design excellence and delivering innovative solutions to clients, while also prioritizing the hiring of local talent to support the city’s vibrant design community.
