Skanska builds data center in London, UK, for GBP 53M, about SEK 620M

Skanska has signed a contract with VIRTUS to build a new data center in London’s metro, UK. The contract is worth GBP 53M, about SEK 620M, which will be included in the order bookings for Europe for the fourth quarter of 2021.

The contract is for the design and build of the LONDON11 data centre. This includes the build and fit out of six new data halls, construction of external steelwork plant gantries, plant rooms for mechanical and electrical and public health services (MEPH), all MEPH infrastructure across the site and office fit out.

Construction work will begin in December 2021 and the project will be completed during Spring 2023.
