Stantec bolsters Cleveland architecture and design practice with the addition of Todd Griffith

Griffith brings 30 years of specialized experience in lab planning and design

 

CLEVELAND, OH- NYSE, TSX:STN: Todd Griffith has joined leading global design firm Stantec as a Senior Associate in the firm’s Buildings practice. Based in Stantec’s Cleveland office, Griffith brings 30 years of experience in lab planning and design for the region’s leading higher education, healthcare, and science institutions.  

In his role, Griffith will contribute to Stantec’s leading position as a trusted consultant in the Education, Healthcare, and Science & Technology sectors by targeting strategic growth opportunities and executing exceptional project design and delivery.

“With decades of experience leading complex projects from concept to completion, Todd brings a comprehensive perspective to managing a broad range of teams and priorities,” said Michael Reagan, Stantec Vice President, Sector Leader for Science & Technology. “His extensive knowledge and genuine passion for delivering designs that support and inspire building occupants are a perfect complement for our strategic goals in the region.”

Griffith has led the programming and design for a variety of project types, requiring the coordination of large teams comprising programming, design, architectural, landscape architectural, structural and MEP design. Notable projects he has led include the lab planning and design of Cleveland State University’s Engaged Learning Laboratories; lab planning and design for the renovation of Purdue University’s Department of Biochemistry; design and architecture for the renovation of diagnostic laboratories for the seven hospitals in the Cleveland Clinic Health System’s eastern and western regions; and an 18-year history of design and lab planning for Case Western Reserve University.

Griffith is a graduate of the University of Illinois@Chicago with a master’s degree in architecture. He earned his bachelor’s degree in architecture from The Ohio State University. Griffith is an accomplished speaker, offering his expertise at national conferences for lab planning and university design. He is also dedicated to industry involvement, serving as a member of the Society for College and University Planners’ Planning Academy since 2016.
