Environmental Field Lead and Technical Expert, Dillon Johnston, Joins Cardno’s Houston Office

Houston, TX – Cardno is pleased to announce that Dillon Johnston has joined the firm as an Environmental Scientist in the company’s Houston, TX, USA office. He will focus on providing permitting and technical data acquisition services to Cardno clients.

Dillon has six years of experience working in onshore, coastal, freshwater, estuarine, and saltwater ecosystems. His specific fields of experience include permitting, multimedia sampling and chemical analysis, special aquatic resource identification and health assessments, population and community ecology of threatened and endangered species, post-construction restoration and revegetation monitoring, and regulatory permitting and compliance for various projects.

Dillon is a certified drone pilot with four years’ experience conducting aerial imagery data acquisition for commercial and ecological applications. He has worked on multiple projects across Texas, including sampling and chemistry analysis of the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway from Orange to Brownsville, Texas, on behalf of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Region 6.

Dillon is a member of the Society for Ecological Restoration (Texas Chapter), Galveston Bay Foundation, and the Texas Association of Environmental Professionals.
