Cardno Promotes Kate Ross-Smith to Business Unit Leader in California

Sacramento, CA – Professional infrastructure and environmental services firm Cardno is pleased to announce the promotion of Katie Ross-Smith, PhD to Business Unit Leader in Northern California.

 

In her new position, Katie will serve as a leader within the company’s natural resources business, guiding the implementation of the unit’s business plan, focusing on client relationship management, project management, and new business opportunities. She will be leading a group with multiple services lines, including hydroelectric relicensing and compliance, civil and environmental engineering, environmental permitting, recreation facility design and engineering, cultural resources, environmental restoration, environmental impacts assessments, natural resource management, and land planning.

 

Katie has a PhD from the University of Virginia, Department of Environmental Sciences and has been with Cardno since 2003. She has been providing technical expertise and management for a variety of water resource, river restoration, and watershed condition assessment projects for private, government, and nongovernmental organizations, and has supported several large hydroelectric relicensing and compliance projects.
