MMFX to Offer East Coast Production
We are pleased to announce that MMFX Technologies Corporation (MMFX) was recently acquired by and is now a part of Commercial Metals Company (CMC). The acquisition was completed on October 27, 2017.
CMC is committed to being a leading innovator in the concrete reinforcement industry, offering a continuum of solutions for your concrete reinforcing needs. The combination of the ChrōmX branded high-strength, corrosion resistant steel products and CMC’s coast to coast steel production capabilities and distribution network will benefit our customers and expand the reach of our ChrōmX products.
CMC and its subsidiaries manufacture, recycle and fabricate steel and metal products, related materials and services through a network including four electric arc furnace (“EAF”) mini mills, two EAF micro mills, a rerolling mill, steel fabrication and processing plants, construction-related product warehouses and metal recycling facilities in the United States and in strategic international markets.
We are excited to announce that we are currently in the development stages of production of all ChrōmX products at CMC Steel South Carolina, while continuing to provide ChrōmX products from Cascade Steel in Oregon. These two steel production sources will now offer coast-to-coast manufacturing and supply benefits that include:
- Available inventory in all ChrōmX products in truck load quantities mill direct
- Shorter lead times
- Fabrication services through CMC and MMFX Distributor network
- One stop shop for all your corrosion resistant and high strength steel needs
