GERMANTOWN, MD — AECOM, a premier, fully-integrated global infrastructure firm, announced today that LaMont Wells, experienced federal market veteran holding leadership positions in the Department of Defense and the Intelligence community, has been appointed executive vice president of business development of AECOM’s management services group.
Following a 30-year career in the government and private sector, Mr. Wells joins AECOM having most recently served as the president and chairman of the board of directors of Technology Management Associates. He is a retired US Army senior officer having served in key command and staff assignments in the 3rd, 9th, and 25th Infantry Divisions. At the Pentagon, he held key staff positions: the Headquarters Department of the Army General Staff, Secretary of the Army and Office of the Inspector General; and the Office of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
He is a graduate of the US Army Command and General Staff College, the Naval War College, the Industrial College of the Armed Forces, and the Information Resource Management College. He is also the recipient of numerous military service medals.

Mr. Wells has previously held several key positions in the private sector, including chief operating officer for Agile Defense, Inc., chief executive officer for Webster Data Communication, Inc., vice president for strategy and development for Siemens Government Services and senior vice president of corporate development for American Systems Corporation.
