AASHTO Transportation TV presents a Special Report on the Knowledge Session, Integrating Resilience into Decision-Making: The Need for Metrics and Methods, sponsored by RS&H. According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, in 2021, the U.S. experienced 20 separate billion-dollar weather and climate disasters. Dave Sweeney, Chief Executive Officer at RS&H, served as session moderator--leading the panel discussion on what can be done to make the nation’s transportation infrastructure more resilient. The distinguished panel included Marc Williams, Executive Director of the Texas DOT; Ed Sniffen, Deputy Director for Highways at the Hawaii DOT, Will Watts, the Assistant Secretary for Engineering and Operations at Florida DOT; and Aimee Flannery, a Surface Transportation Analyst from the Office of the USDOT Secretary.
