For eleven straight years the America's Transportation Awards competition sponsored by AASHTO, Socrata, AAA and the US Chamber of Commerce has showcased the very best transportation projects in nation. This video highlights the 2018 competition which attracted 79 project nominations from 35 state DOTs. 12 projects earned the right to compete for the grand prize and the Socrata People's Choice Award. The top two prizes and $10,000 cash awards—to be given to a charity or transportation-related scholarship program of the winner’s choosing--were presented Sept. 24, 2018 at the AASHTO Annual Meeting in Atlanta.
