Portable, rapid deployment pumps designed for effortless removal of clean and debris-laden water in demanding industrial applications.
29th June 2026 – Atlas Copco has launched a new range of Emergency Trash Pumps (ETP) to complement its existing dewatering portfolio. The new pumps provide a robust and portable solution for fast and reliable water removal in challenging environments. Designed for construction, mining, quarrying and other industrial dewatering applications, the ETP range offers dedicated models for both clean water and dirty water handling.
The (petrol) powered Emergency Trash Pumps are engineered to deliver dependable performance in situations where water contains higher levels of solid debris such as sediments, organic matter, sand and stones - conditions that can cause conventional pumps to clog or fail. Compact, lightweight and easy to deploy, EPT pumps provide contractors and site operators with a rapid-response dewatering solution when uptime is critical. Typical applications include stormwater control, stream diversion, system cleaning and settlement removal.
“Industrial operations like construction and mining often face unexpected flooding or water accumulation containing abrasive solids and debris,” said Niccolo Tivelli, Product Application Manager, Atlas Copco. “Our new Emergency Trash Pumps give customers a reliable, easy-to-transport solution for handling clean and dirty water applications while maintaining high performance and serviceability.”
The Emergency Trash Pumps range comprises seven different models, enabling users to select the most appropriate pump for their application. ETP clean water units are ideal for water transfer, tank filling and system cleaning applications, offering flow rates up to 1,600 l/min (432 USgpm) and up to 60 m (197 ft) maximum head, with maximum suction rates of 7 m (22.9ft). These models can handle solids up to 8 mm (0.32 in) in diameter and feature durable but lightweight aluminium components for ease of deployment.
For more demanding dewatering applications involving contaminated or debris-laden water, ETP wastewater models are engineered to handle solids up to 29 mm (1.1 in) in diameter. Built with durable cast iron frames and impellers, these pumps are designed to withstand harsh operating conditions and maintain stability, even in floodwater. They deliver flow rates up to 1,300 l/min (343 USgpm) at up to 30 m (98 ft) maximum head and achieve the same maximum suction rates as the clean water units.
In developing the EPT range, Atlas Copco has focused on portability, ease of use and simplified maintenance. The pumps feature practical lifting handles and quick deployment capabilities to keep projects moving with minimal downtime. The open-frame design provides easy access to essential pump components for efficient servicing.
Integrated safety features, including exhaust protection and stable frame construction, help ensure reliable operation in demanding site conditions. The use of robust materials in all wear components and seals maximises durability and long-term reliability.
The Emergency Trash Pump range is part of Atlas Copco’s broader portfolio, which includes dewatering pumps, generators, energy storage systems and light towers designed to support demanding industrial and construction applications worldwide.
