GeoTel Communications, LLC, a leading provider of telecommunications infrastructure data in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and web-based platforms, today announced that Fortune Magazine will feature its telecommunications infrastructure data and fiber optic maps in a multi-page article. The article will be published in its June edition and expected to reach newsstands and online worldwide on June2, 2014.
The upcoming article titled “What’s The Next Big Thing in Big Data?” will focus on Big Data from several perspectives and include detailed fiber maps of the United States. The maps illustrate metro and long haul fiber, submarine cables and the largest data centers within the Country.
“We are very pleased to have a globally recognized and reputable publication run another story utilizing GeoTel’s telecom infrastructure data and mapping knowledgebase,” said Dave Drazen, Chairman and CEO of GeoTel Communications. “Managing Big Data is crucial to enterprises and our researched telecom data digitized in GIS and our online tool named TeleTracker, provides a geospatial and pictorial understanding of the nationwide infrastructure that we rely upon.”
“Working with GeoTel Communications, LLC for the second time in the last couple years, I have found the telecom data provided by them for our Magazine to be most accurate and unmatched by any other source. Working with them was great, and creating such maps would not have been possible without their knowledge and flexibility.” said Nicolas Rapp, Information Graphics Director at Fortune Magazine.
