Principal
ID + HA Corporate Engineering team leader Mark joined us in 2010 and has supported many successful recovery and reconstruction projects worldwide. Mark was instrumental in helping us open our Puerto Rico office and in Haiti, where he commuted for eight years, becoming an honorary Haitian. In his spare time, he loves traveling and relaxing with his favorite drinks at his serene Phoenix poolside.
OLIVIA NIELSEN
Principal
Parisian by birth but a global citizen by conviction and adoption. Olivia is among the most respected affordable housing construction, finance, and resiliency experts and leads our ID + HA Resilient Experts team. Through her work, she hopes to make cities green, resilient, and affordable to all.
JAMES CHENG
Associate Principal
Throughout his time at Miyamoto, as a lead engineer James has focused on advanced analysis, the design of complex structures, and those more “architecturally interesting.” His approach to simplifying problem-solving while supporting his clients and team with care is part of his pursuit of lifelong learning. When he’s not working to create extraordinary solutions for customers, he enjoys trying to keep up with all the activities that come with being a supportive and loving father.
BINDU PALL
Associate Principal
Bindu leads the firm’s high-performance marketing team focusing on client acquisition and proposal management processes. Out of our L.A office, she works across a range of sectors to address customer strategy and marketing topics. What lights Bindu up is making every small get-together a party and partying with people from all walks of life. In her own words: “Ain’t no party like a Punjabi party!”.
LUCIENNE NOEL
Associate Principal
Lucienne is a coastal resilience expert, leads the ID + HA communications team, and spearheads projects and proposals focusing on community engagement and climate resilience. Lucienne has a Master’s in Public Health and a bachelor’s degree in Global Disparities, both from the University of Michigan. She is a certified LEED Green Associate with a Permaculture Design and Watershed Management certificate.
ZACH JOHNSON
Associate Principal
A Kamaʻāina that has made the city of trees his home. Zach leads the corporate communications team from our headquarters in Sacramento. He provides strategic perspectives while curating and facilitating our brand development. As an experienced, full-stack developer, he is passionate about tech and software development, specifically AI and machine learning.
KARLA MELCHIORI
Associate Principal
Karla brings over 10 years of experience in senior leadership roles across multiple functions in our firm. As a People Development leader, she recruits the best and the brightest talent and ensures employees flourish in Miyamoto’s culture. When she’s not busy working, mountain biking, or traveling, you’ll find her chilling with her 4 kids, 4 grandkids, and her puppy dog.
