Partnership Increases Access to Advanced Ultrasound Algae Technology

WILSON, Wyo.  – WaterIQ Technologies, the leader in next-generation ultrasonic solutions to combat harmful algae and biofilm without the use of chemicals, today announced a partnership agreement with AquaFim, the leading agriculture and irrigation systems and services company for the export produce market in Mexico. As part of the partnership, AquaFim will hold exclusive rights to serve the agricultural irrigation market in Mexico, covering irrigation source ponds and wastewater.

The impact of algae blooms on irrigation systems can cost a grower money and time to clear clogged pumps, spray and drip lines, and possible chemical application costs. This partnership will increase access to best-in-class ultrasonic algae remediation tools and 24/7 water quality insight and cloud monitoring – all designed to kill algae without using harmful chemicals, which can impact crops and wildlife and cause water runoff pollution.

“Our entry into the market in Mexico with AquaFim expands our geographic footprint and streamlines our distribution, allowing us to move more rapidly on behalf of our customers,” said WaterIQ Technologies CEO and Chairman, Lawrence Field. “This partnership will allow us to collaborate on algae issues impacting irrigation systems and extend the use of the latest innovations in water quality technologies without the use of chemicals.”

AquaFim will have access to the technically advanced WaterIQ Pulsar, a non-chemical ultrasonic solution that emits more than 2000 discrete frequencies in two bands, targeting blue-green and green algae. The device operates on the critical structural resonance principle, producing a precise frequency with sufficient power to disrupt vital algae cellular function. This approach causes the elimination of most species of harmful algae from water bodies within 30 to 60 days without causing harm to other forms of marine life.

WaterIQ Technologies’ advanced Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) technology captures real-time data of critical system and water quality data, enabling effective long-duty cycles and uninterrupted field usage. WaterIQ Technologies works closely with partners to eradicate dangerous algae growth in a variety of markets, including drinking water utilities, wastewater treatment plants, general agriculture, golf courses, lakes and ponds, industrial and HOAs.

“We are delighted to extend our leadership in the irrigation market and be an exclusive supplier of WaterIQ ultrasonic solutions,” said Miguel Angel Perez, Chief Operating Officer of AquaFim. “Having access to world-class solutions that eradicate algae will provide customers with an effective way to combat algae.”

AquaFim services high-value cultivated crops with more than 130,000 hectares of irrigation systems. The company has been in business for 45 years and has 11 locations throughout Mexico. It provides the most advanced irrigation technology systems and value-added services, such as algae control.
