The Great Intersection: 2023 WTS International Annual Conference Call for Abstracts Open Through December 16

WASHINGTON – Now through December 16th is your time to prepare and submit ideas for “The Great Intersection,” the 2023 Annual Conference for Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS International), happening May 10-12, 2023 in Atlanta, Georgia.   

The 2023 Conference will explore the intersection of transportation and equity in a city known for its vibrant history and its modern progress. Programming will examine the entire spectrum of the transportation and equity ecosystem, including plenaries from federal and public sector agency leadership, technical tours of local Georgia transportation projects, networking events, career and professional development workshops, and more. WTS conference participants are leaders in traffic operations and management, planning, engineering, micromobility, aviation, maritime, consulting, community engagement, architecture, start-ups and technology, marketing and communications, small business ownership, and so much more.

WTS invites transportation professionals in all roles to submit their contributions for conference sessions and posters to be considered for presentation and publication at conference. Selected session presenters will have the opportunity to register for the conference at a special speaker rate.

Call for Breakout Session Abstracts

The 2023 conference will include five session tracks, including our new Student-centered track:

• Social and Environmental Sustainability for an Equitable Future 
• Moving People and Goods: An Inclusive Approach 
• Inclusive Management for Workforce Investments 
• Career Development for Inclusive Representation 
• Student Track

Submissions are being solicited for panels (60-minute sessions), as well as our “WTS Talks” format; a 10-minute presentation with 5 minutes of questions.

Call for Poster Submissions

If you or someone in your organization has recently conducted transportation research, consider sharing your specialized knowledge, insights, and experiences! A poster gallery highlighting projects, facilities, research and experiences that align with the Conference theme will be on display for attendees to view throughout the course of the conference.

Conference posters are opportunities to engage with others in conversation about your work. The poster session is intended to be casual and conversational; there will be no formal presentations.
