Davin Ruohomaki Named Deputy Aviation National Business Line Leader at WSP USA

Former senior director of Greater Orlando Aviation Authority (GOAA) leads key aviation programs and projects; supports firm’s growth in U.S. aviation.

 

ORLANDO — Davin Ruohomaki has been named deputy national aviation market leader for WSP USA, a leading engineering, environment and professional services consultancy.

Ruohomaki, a WSP vice president, is responsible for new business development, quality delivery, execution of projects and supports growth of the aviation sector across the U.S. He focuses on maximizing opportunities within the marketplace and serves as pursuit manager for critical opportunities. Additionally, he acts as principal-in-charge for projects, develops technical concepts and approaches for clients and serves as an aviation representative at industry events.

Working under the leadership of Indhira Figuereo, WSP USA senior vice president and national aviation market leader, Ruohomaki plays a key role as part of the national aviation team.

Davin will contribute his experience on strategic partnerships to support the growth of our team as we continue to serve our airport and airline clients and programs.”

Ruohomaki brings more than three decades of executive and program management leadership to the firm, including more than eight years at GOAA, where he served as senior director of planning, engineering, construction, environmental and grants with more than $4 billion of completed projects. He previously served as vice president at an international engineering consultancy where he was the construction manager/project manager for the Mid-Atlantic South Region on projects for Miami International Airport, Orlando International Airport, Orange County Public Schools and many other public organizations and programs.

Ruohomaki is a distinguished military graduate of the Virginia Military Institute with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and then earned his executive master’s degree in business administration from the University of Central Florida College of Business. He is a certified general contractor for the State of Florida.
