We would like to congratulate Milton Carrasco, CEO of Transoft Solutions, for receiving the Career Achievement Award – the highest honour awarded by the UCalgary Alumni Association. This award honours those whose careers have made a positive and significant contribution to their community.

Milton received his Master’s in Engineering at the University of Calgary. His thesis topic involved the turning radius and swept path of semi-tractor trailers which was a unique development in innovative software for geometric design. He established Transoft Solutions in 1991 and launched his first product AutoTURN, which was borne from his master’s thesis “Computerized Vehicle-Turning Simulation: An Interactive Application”.

Today, Transoft’s suite of products includes patented technologies that provide unique solutions for the civil and transportation engineering, traffic safety, and aviation sectors – allowing them to design and plan with confidence. Transoft’s productivity-enhancing software is the trusted standard for developing and maintaining highways, airports, light rail transit, road signage, and other infrastructure.
