Matt Ball on January 15, 2014 - in Announcement, Corporate

Hexagon’s annual international conference, HxGN LIVE will once again take place in Las Vegas from 2 to 5 June. Customers, partners and the global brand network of Hexagon will all come together to help shape the way we work and live. User presentations, training sessions, product updates and networking events provide the impetus for this three day, thought-provoking and thoroughly engaging conference.  The Geosystems track will cover a wide range of geospatial technologies, applications and solutions from Leica Geosystems, its sister brands and solution partners that shape change globally. Our special Early Bird registration rate is available until January 31, 2014.

HxGN LIVE highlights the latest trends in design, measurement and visualisation technologies, and fosters discussions, ideas and solutions for creating a better, smarter world. HxGN LIVE is the perfect time and place for getting an up-close look at an expansive portfolio of products and solutions and to receive hands-on instruction from the experts.

Leica Geosystems and its sister brands are the focus of the Geosystems track, which will feature more than 100 presentations incorporating compelling user testimonials, reports on industry trends, new technology previews, interactive technical demonstrations, workout sessions, training classes and special networking opportunities. The Geosystems track is conveniently organised into four sub-tracks:

  • Surveying, Infrastructure and Construction:
From completely integrated to totally modular solutions, Leica Geosystems provides an extensive portfolio for surveying, infrastructure and construction. Gain insight into the latest developments in our technology, such as the Nova MS50 MultiStation and the variety of applications it can be used for. Discover through hands-on training with total stations, GNSS or GIS how to work more efficiently in surveying, constructing and monitoring infrastructure using intuitive workflows.
  • HDS/3D Laser Scanning:
Leica Geosystems’ 3D laser scanning provides optimal workflows for converting point clouds of reality into final client deliverables. It not only offers many benefits to the measurement professional but also to the recipients and users of accurate spatial information. Civil engineers, plant designers, CAD professionals, architects, contractors, forensic investigators, archaeologists, and owner/operators can all profit from cost savings and added-value.
  • Geospatial Solutions:
Important topics of the Geospatial Solutions sub-track will be:
Creating Smart Cities: with highly precise 3D data generated from our airborne and terrestrial mobile systems; Environmental change and disaster management: The next generations of airborne sensors detect and assist; UAV’s for commercial and industrial use: from Amazon to Fukushima.

NEW: Machine Control and Mining
Leica Geosystems’ Machine Control systems offer valuable material cost savings, on-site safety and high accuracy resulting in increased efficiency, higher productivity and lower fuel consumption.  For mining customers, Leica Geosystems provides state-of-the-art, seamlessly integrated fleet management, production optimisation, GPS guidance and autonomous control solutions.
