AGA Announces New Technical Director
Centennial, Colo.- The American Galvanizers Association (AGA) Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Alana Fossa as Technical Director. This transition has the full support of Leadership Team Executive Director Melissa Lindsley, Marketing Director John Krzywicki, and Dr. Tom Langill, who will be cutting back to three days a week as Technical Director Emeritus.
Alana has been with the AGA since 2015 serving as the Corrosion Engineer and Senior Corrosion Engineer. During her tenure, she has become an invaluable source of hot-dip galvanizing knowledge for our members and specifiers and a trusted expert on HDG with key influential organizations such as AMPP, ASTM, the National Steel Bridge Alliance (NSBA), and American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI).
In addition to her comprehensive technical acumen, Alana has been instrumental in the development of key research programs including Abrasive Media for Preparing Duplex Systems, and specifier resources such as the Coating Appearance Video Series, Progressive Dip Calculator/Charts, Zinc and Galvanic Corrosion Guide, and HDG Guide on AESS. According to AGA President Keith Ewing, “Alana’s knowledge of and passion for the hot-dip galvanizing industry are remarkable and I have no doubt she will accomplish extraordinary things for the AGA and our Industry.”
