MdeAS Welcomes New Senior Associates, Cynthia Fels Price and Sonny Lee
(New York, N.Y.) – MdeAS (em-dee-ay-es), a New York based architecture firm known for modern design and its focus on redefining Class A buildings, interiors, and public spaces, announces that Cynthia Fels Price and Sonny Lee have joined the firm as Senior Associates.
“We are pleased to welcome Cynthia and Sonny to the MdeAS team,” said Dan Shannon, Managing Partner, MdeAS. “Their expertise in commercial design and architecture will benefit the entire firm as we continue to work on major projects for several of New York City’s top real estate owners and developers. As our clients look ahead to a post-pandemic recovery and focus on enhancing the tenant experience, the addition of these new members further enhances our ability to meet our client’s unique requirements.”
Cynthia Fels Price has more than a decade of experience transforming innovative ideas into built realties at commercial properties across the Tri-State area, making quality spaces for people that improve their everyday experience of the built environment. With a specialty in the complex repositioning and renovation of existing buildings, Cynthia has worked on a range of projects, from small-scale commercial interior design projects to large-scale building redevelopments, masterfully balancing refined design with real world constructability.
In her new role at MdeAS, she is serving as project manager for MdeAS’ redevelopment of Penn 2, an office tower in Midtown Manhattan. Prior to joining the firm, Cynthia spent six years as an architect at Adamson Associates Architects, where she was a primary team member for 425 Park Avenue, an 813-foot-tall commercial skyscraper in Midtown Manhattan for which the firm was architect of record. Cynthia was the lead client contact, directing and performing design change development and coordination, and working as the lead for the CA of Amenity fit-up scope. She also previously spent four years at METHOD Architects as a project manager and lead designer for retail, food service, and commercial interiors projects.
Cynthia is a Registered Architect in New York and a member of the AIA New York City chapter. She holds a Master of Architecture from Pratt Institute and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Cincinnati.
Sonny Lee joins MdeAS from Foster + Partners, where she spent seven years – most recently as associate partner – specializing in large-scale commercial developments and high-end interior projects. She is also experienced in institutional projects and healthcare.
In her new role at MdeAS, Sonny is currently working on Fulton Development, a new residential tower in downtown Brooklyn. Among her many attributes, Sonny can translate her clients’ real estate requirements into architectural solutions that feature great designs and shape the overall built environment.
Sonny is a Registered Architect in New York and a LEED Accredited Professional, as well as a member of the American Institute of Architects and the U.S. Green Building Council.
