Cretex Specialty Products

PRO-RING is the most advanced concrete-alternative manhole and catchbasin grade-adjustment system available anywhere. Available in round, square and rectangular, these rings are manufactured from Expanded Polypropylene (EPP), which is renowned for its exceptional strength-to-weight ratio, durability, chemical resistance and long service life under harsh conditions.

One person can install the PRO-RING system in just minutes to within a quarter inch of finished grade, and they are watertight. Where concrete rings break and may cause injury, the PRO-RING system eliminates the hazard, helping minimize the risk of injury. A 6” PRO-RING weighs just 14 pounds and stands up to all kinds of physical abuse. The PRO-RING system dramatically speeds manhole installation and repair time. Manhole repair sites can be opened, repaired and closed in one day, reducing overall costs from 20% to 30%, based on conditions.

Environment One Corporation

Pressure Sewer Systems

Pressure sewage collection systems were pioneered by Environment One. E/One Sewer systems have proven to be an effective method of sewering otherwise difficult land areas, such as flat, wet, rocky and hilly terrain at a fraction of the cost of gravity sewers. Pressure sewer mains need only to be buried just below the frost line, eliminating the need for the deep trenches often associated with gravity sewers. The small, flexible pipes are also resistant to I&I.

At the heart of an E/One Sewer is the grinder pump, developed by Environment One. These units accept household sanitary waste, grind it into a fine slurry, and pressurize it to permit transport through small-diameter pipes. E/One Sewer Systems serve more than 1.5 million end users daily.

Xypex Chemical Corporation manufactures a range of concrete waterproofing and repair products used in the construction or restoration of water and sewage infrastructure, foundations, marine structures and tunnels. Our crystalline technology has been tested and proven worldwide in widely varying construction conditions.

Xypex crystalline waterproofing becomes a permanent, integral part of the structure by filling and plugging the pores, capillaries and hairline cracks in concrete with a non-soluble crystalline formation that, unlike membranes, will not lose its adhesion, puncture, tear or come apart at the seams.

Xypex crystalline waterproofing is available as a coating (for positive or negative-side application), an admixture and dry-shake material for new slab construction.

Advanced Valve Technologies

Advanced Valve Technologies (AVT) is known for producing the most lightweight and effective insertion valve in the industry. Insertion valves can be installed on water lines without the need to shut off the water and without affecting local residents and businesses.

AVT EZ Valve

The AVT EZ Valve is available in 1.5” to 24” and is ideal for use with a range of applications from isolating floors in high-rise buildings to creating additional control points on current municipal water networks.

The valve uses an integral isolation gate, which, when operated after a slot has been milled across the pipe, allows the EM (end milling) machine to be removed and the resilient wedge installed. This process means the valve can be installed on a live line with no need to shut off the water.

Crane Pumps & Systems

Envie3 high-efficiency air-filled motors come without application limitations. Designed to run both submerged and dry-run, these motors are available with our Barnes and Deming chopper and non-clog pumps. The patent-pending closed-loop glycol cooling system allows for stress-free, easy maintenance and installation in the most demanding of applications.

The new envie3 product offering has an ie3 premium-efficient-rated motor achieving motor efficiency of 94%, which results in annual energy savings ranging from $200-$900. The envie3’s ability to run continuously in air makes its minimum required submergence 35% lower than comparable pumps. This results in less-expensive lift stations, less FOG buildup, reduced chance for stations to turn septic and the ability to pump out floating debris. Envie3 high-efficiency air-filled motors are where versatility meets high performance.

STORMSURGE ACCESS ASSEMBLY

During a major rain or tidal event, the water pressure can be powerful enough to force up and dislodge a manhole cover. This creates a hazard for both motorists and pedestrians. The STORMSURGE Access Assembly solves this problem by allowing water to flow. During a storm surge or backflow event, the cover can lift up to 16 degrees, enabling water to flow out and relieve the pressure. The locking arm and hinge restrain the cover and allow it to properly seat itself after the event. Made in the USA, it is traffic rated and exceeds the 40,000-lb proof-loading requirements of AASHTO-M-306.

SIRIUS 3RW55 Soft Starter

The SIRIUS 3RW55 soft starter is available for a wide range of applications, including water and wastewater. Simple to select, install and configure, the soft starter is IoT-ready and is easily integrated with most industrial communication networks. The 3RW55 avoids pump blockage and reduces downtime by alerting the operator to reverse pump direction to ultimately loosen deposits from the impellers. Additionally, it uses torque control to slow the pump down gradually, which avoids water hammer on pipes, valves, couplings and seals, and reduces mechanical load on the system. Such features lower maintenance costs and prolong pump and piping life.

SIMOCODE Pro Motor Management System

More than an overload relay, SIMOCODE pro is a motor management system for motor applications. It measures voltage, current and power, helping to protect, monitor and control motors and pumps in the water and wastewater industry. SIMOCODE gives detailed operating, servicing and diagnostics data by managing the status of a pump’s motor to detect dry-running, thus eliminating the need for sensors. ATEX- and IECEx-rated to ensure reliable explosion protection when pumping flammable chemicals used in water treatment, it saves costs on flowmeters, and protects facility assets and personnel. SIMOCODE is uniquely designed to communicate via PROFIBUS/PROFINET/MODBUS/ETHERNET IP as well as via OPC UA for cloud interface.

Strata Systems

StrataWeb

One of the strongest structural shapes demonstrated in both natural and manmade structures is the 3D honeycomb configuration. StrataWeb has been able to apply this honeycomb shape to soil reinforcement to solve some of the most difficult civil engineering problems associated with load support over soft soils; erosion on steep slopes; and the lining of lagoons, drainage channels and landfills. The system utilizes strips of extruded polymer welded together at intervals that when expanded, forms a 3D honeycomb mattress. Filled with granular material, the resulting cellular confinement system efficiently transfers compressive and tensile stresses from heavy loads to provide higher load support capacity than any geosynthetic or geogrid product available.
