Stantec GenerationAV™ hires Neal Hemenover to lead Product Innovation and Development

Neal Hemenover has joined Stantec GenerationAV™ to lead Product innovation and development. Based in the firm’s Chicago office, he will be responsible for developing the products to safely deploy and even accelerate the automated vehicle market. He will be focused on growing GenerationAV™’s portfolio of autonomous vehicle (AV) digital products and AV consulting offerings.

He brings an expansive background in AVs and related digital product development. We’re thrilled to welcome him to the team.”
Hemenover brings over 25 years of experience in information technology and innovation, most recently serving as both Chief Information Officer and Vice President of Innovation for Transdev North America, where he led the firm’s North America AV and Innovation teams and spearheaded six AV project launches in 2020 alone. He has extensive experience coordinating with federal, state, and local regulators including the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, on AV pilots and deployments, and was responsible for the firm’s North America roadmap for Mobility as a Service (MaaS), providing business development services to push MaaS solutions in the region.
He is a graduate of Eastern Illinois University with a bachelor’s degree in computer management and an active member of the Project Management Institute and the American Management Association.
Stantec GenerationAV™ is a full consulting program that draws from the experience on dozens of deployment projects, using a data-driven process to remove barriers to AV programs most commonly identified by clients: selecting technology suppliers, addressing regulatory requirements, and building an efficient roadmap to safe deployment. Stantec GenerationAV™ supports Stantec’s Smart Mobility and was launched through Stantec’s Innovation Office, which was designed to identify, incubate, accelerate, and operationalize client-focused research into scalable infrastructure solutions.
