OMAHA, Neb. — HDR’s Jason McGlashan, P.E., has been promoted to transportation program delivery services director.

With nearly 30 years of experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and delivering multimodal solutions, McGlashan will develop and grow our consulting services and program delivery services across all transportation markets, emphasizing how we can help serve clients throughout their projects’ life cycles. His responsibilities will include managing and coordinating program initiatives; supporting the development and implementation of strategic plans and budgets; and facilitating work-share opportunities.

“Jason works across our practice to execute planning and transportation decisions that promote tailored, sustainable development in our communities, as well as capitalize on advanced technologies to efficiently solve complex problems,” said HDR Professional Services Director Pat Hickox. “With his leadership, we’ll focus on expanding and diversifying our service offerings to address our clients’ critical transportation challenges.”

Most recently as our transportation planning director, McGlashan has provided strategic and technical leadership for multimodal transportation planning and traffic engineering on a wide variety of projects nationally and internationally. His experience includes serving as project manager or project engineer for bus rapid transit and light rail transit planning; freight rail studies; airport master plans; city and county comprehensive policy plans; corridor and access management studies; transportation policy; and finance plans.

Encapsulating his full project life cycle outlook in addition to his detailed planning skills, McGlashan is a leader for the Al Madinah Region Development Authority’s bus rapid transit expansion program in Saudi Arabia. HDR is providing technical advisory services for a comprehensive public transport network, including the planning and management of two BRT corridors, 21 bus stations, three park-and-ride facilities, two depots, as well as all associated infrastructure and ITS.

“I’m looking forward to working with so many of our diverse program delivery services to bring value to our projects and help our clients solve some of their unique challenges,” McGlashan said. “Program delivery services are leading in many ways with new technology adoption, especially in areas like GIS, data analytics, visualization, and data acquisition and 3D reality mesh. We also see this growth coming from our traditional services as we expand in new markets both in the U.S. and internationally.”
