Sergio Mijares Heads ResinTech Technical Sales in Latin America
CAMDEN, NJ — U.S. based Ion exchange manufacturer, ResinTech, announced today that it has hired Sergio Mijares to oversee Technical Sales Manager throughout Latin America. Mr. Mijares has spent more than twenty years implementing ion exchange solutions for the water treatment industry. He began his career at Bayer AG as a development specialist for the technical and commercial markets before moving on to lead market development teams at Themax, Phoenix Engineering Services and Synquest Laboratories.
“I know Sergio quite from earlier in my career.” said Parag Deval, Director of International Development for ResinTech. “His deep technical understanding of ion exchange in applications like sugar, mining, power generation, pharmaceutical, as well as general industrial and residential water treatment is universally respected.”

A Venezuelan native, Mr. Mijares is fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese and holds degrees in Logistics, Business Management, and Chemical Engineering. Mijares’ addition comes at a dynamic period for ResinTech. The company just finished its migration to a new headquarters and manufacturing facility and plans to begin manufacturing its own non-solvent black cation resin next month. A product it hopes will be in high demand for Mr. Mijares’ customers in Latin America.
Sergio Mijares will be based in Saint Augustine, Florida and travel throughout central and South America.
