IECA Region One Aligns Association Structure with Strategic Plan

Denver, CO – With the reunification of the International Erosion Control Association (IECA) Region One and Region Two, the board of directors are making structural changes to support incoming members and create a solid backbone for the future.

Structural changes include:

• The board promoted Samantha Roe, IOM, to Chief Executive Officer of the association.
• Members from Region Two will retain their membership structure during the acquisition and the immediate future.
• Staff will be retained in Australia to provide resources to support Region Two members.
• A new online member community launching at the IECA Virtual Annual Conference will allow members across industries, backgrounds and interests to connect globally.  

“With the reunification of IECA Region One and Region Two, we need to look at our current structure to service the twenty five percent increase in global members IECA will acquire this month,” stated Adam Dibble, CPESC, CESSWI, IECA president. “IECA is looking to expand our value and resources on a global scale and to help set the stage that support international growth.”

Chief Executive Office Roe brings a variety of membership and chapter development and international experience to support IECA restructuring. Roe has redesigned and implemented strategic programs for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Washington, D.C., streamlined chapter online community communication for the Financial Planning Association and has connections to the mining industry from her position at the Society for Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration.

“Samantha has the background to allow IECA to really take off,” Dibble stated.  “Her experience with online communities, chapter restructuring and connections to industries IECA is interested in serving are essential to the future of IECA. And our new president, Nicky Araujo, PE, will help expand our international presence even farther. Reunification and our leadership are creating extraordinary opportunities for IECA to grow and support international members!”
