PRESTO GEOSYSTEMS

Presto’s GEOWEB 3D soil-confinement system offers flexible solutions for challenging soil-stabilization problems. The 3D system strengthens and transforms fill material, improving performance in a variety of applications.

For controlling erosion, the GEOWEB system’s 3D cellular structure stabilizes the upper soil layer on slopes to resist sliding and prevent surface runoff erosion. In channel designs, the system controls stormwater and replaces expensive riprap and reinforced concrete with vegetation and poured-in-place concrete.

Vegetated gravity and reinforced GEOWEB retaining walls are designed for natural aesthetics and to meet green initiatives. Using the GEOWEB system to build roads with onsite, low-quality fill reduces cost and installation time.

Presto offers free project evaluations, fast and easy specification tools, and engineering consultation.

Seaman Corporation

Seaman Corporation is a manufacturer of high-strength geomembranes used in transportation applications for the protection of EPS foam. Other applications include stormwater impoundment lining and floating diversion baffles. All products are manufactured in the USA.

The 9832G XR-5 Geomembrane is placed over structural lightweight EPS foam blocks where protection is needed against hydrocarbons, including highway, airfield and rail applications. The membrane is highly resistant to the effects of water, hydrocarbons and sunlight, and is considered the most puncture-resistant, lightweight product for the application. Prefabrication allows the contractor to minimize installation time, and because the 9832G is fabric reinforced, it withstands installation handling concerns against dragging and overburden placement.

Solmax

LiteEarth: Erosion- and Maintenance-Free Capping

Solmax’s fully anchored LiteEarth capping system enables you to cap environmentally sensitive basins where erosion and soil instability make it difficult to install and operate traditional capping systems. Where traditional systems require significant design considerations and maintenance to avoid erosion of the cover, our LiteEarth system shines. The patented LiteEarth capping system is the only monolithic geosynthetic system, which means that there is no granular ballast to maintain. LiteEarth is made of a 40-mil LLDPE Series geomembrane laminated to synthetic turf and is installed using permanent engineered earth anchors.

Tensar

TriAx Geogrid is a geosynthetic material used to stabilize soil. Today, many pavement designers are using geogrids to improve the performance of the aggregate within pavement structures. This allows them to offset increasing material costs, deal with increasing traffic loads, and create longer-lasting pavement sections.

How does TriAx Geogrid work? It has triangular openings, called apertures, which allow aggregate to strike through and provide confinement and interlock. This minimizes the movement of aggregate, resulting in increased stiffness of the granular layer. This increased stiffness is maintained much longer than in unstabilized aggregate layers, delivering improved pavement performance.
