Lorelei Williams to Lead Pacific Northwest Transportation at WSP USA

Brings nearly a quarter century of transportation and relational experience to new role with the firm; held multiple leadership roles with the City of Seattle Department of Transportation.

SEATTLE — Lorelei Williams has joined WSP USA, a leading engineering and professional services consultancy, as its Transportation business line leader for the Pacific Northwest district.

In her new role as a WSP vice president, Williams will be responsible for using the firm’s broad technical experience to enhance current and new service offerings, fostering the development of new and emerging innovations, as well as respect for the basics, that support the firm’s reputation as a trusted thought leader in the transportation industry. She will advance the strategic direction of WSP within the Pacific Northwest district, which includes Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Hawaii and Guam; and position the company for sustained and continued growth and encourage the technical and professional development of all staff within her district.

Williams brings approximately 24 years of transportation industry experience to her new role at WSP. Williams most recently served as deputy director of capital project delivery for the City of Seattle’s Department of Transportation over the past 16 years. In this role she served as the executive lead for the Move Seattle Levy, the Capital Projects Division, the Project Development Division and the Roadway Structures Division. She began her career in consulting, providing full-service expertise in planning, design, project and construction management for roadway and aviation projects.

Williams is a graduate of the University of Washington with a degree in civil engineering. She currently serves as immediate past president of the American Public Works Association, Washington State Chapter.
