Steelike, Inc. Expands Team with UHPC Industry Expert Michael McDonagh as Vice President, Engineering & Projects
Springfield, VA, February 3, 2021 –– Steelike, Inc., creator and supplier of Steelike® UHPC, announced that Michael McDonagh has joined the company as Vice President, Engineering & Projects. In this new role, Michael will draw from his 24 years of experience in designing and managing complex high-profile bridge projects and his subject matter expertise in UHPC. He most recently served as a Senior Technical Principal and Senior Supervising Structural Engineer at WSP USA, where he supported FHWA’s nationwide Every Day Counts promotion of UHPC for bridge construction, oversaw the design of UHPC overlays for the Delaware Memorial and Newport Pell suspension bridges plus four bridges for the New Jersey Department of Transportation, was a principal author of upcoming FHWA guidance on UHPC for Bridge Preservation and Repair and an upcoming FHWA state-of-the-practice report on Partial-Depth Precast Concrete Deck Panels, was a lead designer for the redecking of the 3.5-mile long Pulaski Skyway using precast panels and UHPC connections, and led the design of multiple signature pedestrian bridges.
