WEF Announces 2021 Stormwater Summit Call for Abstracts

We are excited to announce that the 2021 Stormwater Summit will be held in Minneapolis, Minnesota; and we are calling the water sector’s thought-leaders and experts to share their knowledge with the rest of the industry. The topics crafted for This Summit will deepen the technical knowledge of professionals involved in stormwater and provide forums where leading issues in the sector are discussed.

Potential speakers are invited to submit an abstract for podium presentation, workshop, and virtual presentation on the following topical areas:

A. Funding and Financing

B. Training and Education

C. Innovation and Technology

D. Construction, Inspection and Maintenance

E. COVID- Era Stormwater Management

F. Post-Construction Control Measures

G. Resiliency, Sustainability, and Equity


H. Regulation and Policy

I. Upper Mid-West Issues

J. Program Development, Management, Planning and Analysis

K. Case Studies

L. Stormwater Asset Management

M. Partnership Development and Community Engagement

N. Design and Modeling

Several criteria will be used to evaluate the abstracts, including originality, project status (in progress or completed), technical merit, significance to the industry, and overall quality. Abstracts must be submitted online no later than 11:59 PM EST on December 1, 2020 online at  www.wef.org/StormwaterSummit for consideration.

The 2021 Stormwater Summit will include oral presentations, interactive discussions, pre-conference workshops, exhibits, and opportunities for networking in dynamic settings.

We are also excited to be planning for both in-person technical programming and exhibits as well as virtual event components.  Before finalizing a submittal, abstract submitters are asked to select their preferred presentation format (in-person, virtual, or both/either).  More information on the in-person and virtual format options will be provided on the conference website soon.
