Scott Abrams joins Stantec’s Water practice in South Carolina

CHARLESTON, SC, NYSE, TSX:STN: Leading global design firm Stantec welcomes Scott Abrams to the Water practice as the South Carolina Water/Wastewater Market Lead. Joining the firm’s Charleston office, he will be responsible for leading pursuits for water and wastewater conveyance and treatment projects, with both new and existing clients. He will also lead project delivery efforts and assist with regional planning and staff development.

Abrams brings over 20 years of experience in the planning, design, and construction of water infrastructure in the Carolinas. Key project experience includes the Plum Island WPCP-Phase III Capital Improvement Projects in Charleston, SC; the Daniel Island WWTF Upgrade in Charleston, SC; the McAlpine Creek WWMF Reliability Improvement Project in Charlotte, NC; and the Sugar Creek WWMF Reliability Improvement Project in Charlotte, NC.

“Scott is an established water expert in the Carolinas with an especially impressive track record that includes delivering projects valued at nearly half a billion dollars,” said Rob Stout, Senior Principle and Practice Leader for Water in Stantec’s Charlotte, NC office. “With Scott’s addition, we strengthen an already solid team that is driven to delivering impactful work for our clients.”

Abrams is a graduate of Clemson University, with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, as well as the University of Minnesota, with a master’s degree in civil engineering. He currently serves as the Carolinas Chair of the Design Build Institute of America (DBIA) and is member of the South Carolina Section of the American Water Works Association (SCAWWA) and the Water Environment Association of South Carolina (WEASC).
