Eight webinars to be offered over eight weeks for 12 PDH credits

WASHINGTON, DC — The Cold-Formed Steel Engineers Institute (CFSEI) will launch the first-ever CSFEI Virtual Expo on September 3, 2020 which will include four live webinars and four on-demand webinars conducted by nationally known experts for a total of 12 continuing education credits. The webinars will begin on September 3, 2020 and conclude on November 12, 2020. The CFSEI Virtual Expo replaces the annual live CFSEI Expo that was canceled in May 2020 due to concerns generated by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The innovative format for the CFSEI Virtual Expo offers opportunities for education in the latest advancements in cold-formed steel framing using online tools and methods. By offering interactive “live” sessions and flexible “on-demand” sessions over a series of eight weeks, the Virtual Expo will open up opportunities for many more individuals to participate in a CFSEI Expo versus the traditional annual two-day event held in person. The virtual sessions are designed for architects, builders/contractors and engineers and are geared toward both skilled cold-formed steel framing professionals and newcomers.

CFSEI Managing Director Robert J. Wills commented that the registration process is as imaginative as the Virtual Expo format. “We designed the registration process to be affordable and inclusive, with all eight sessions being offered for a total of $50 for CFSEI/Steel Framing Alliance members, and $200 for nonmembers,” he explained. “For nonmembers, this is a very cost-effective way to sign up for an annual CFSEI membership and sample all the benefits provided by CFSEI, in addition to earning 12 PDHs with flexible scheduling offered through the Virtual Expo, for just $50. CFSEI has not offered an opportunity like this before, making it an attractive deal for those who may have considered CFSEI membership in the past but were not able to join for various reasons.”

The CFSEI Virtual Expo live webinars will be offered in September and November. CFSEI will offer a webinar in October 2020 that is part of its ongoing bimonthly series, but is not included as part of the CFSEI Virtual Expo. The October webinar will be announced at a later date.
