Dewberry Selected to Design Franklin Avenue Bridge

Bridge in Denville, New Jersey, to be rehabilitated or replaced.
Dewberry announced it has been selected by New Jersey Transit to design the rehabilitation or replacement of the Franklin Avenue Bridge over the Morristown Line in Denville, New Jersey. The work will be performed out of the firm’s Bloomfield, New Jersey, office.
The purpose of the project is to restore the structural capacity of the bridge, which is currently posted for a weight limit of seven tons. Rehabilitation or replacement of the bridge will eliminate the restriction of certain vehicles on this section of Franklin Avenue, which provides a critical connection between Route 46 and Route 10, as well as access to residences, commercial properties, and Morris Knolls High School.
