Revit Software Users Can Now Link PDF and Microsoft Word Documents to Revit Files Thanks to Ideate Sticky
San Francisco, CA – Ideate Software, a veteran Autodesk Developer Network member, announced that recent updates to Ideate Sticky include one of the features most requested by Autodesk Revit software users.
“As a developer of software that streamlines Revit workflows, we closely monitor the Autodesk Ideas Forum to identify Revit challenges we can address through our productivity tools,” said Glynnis Patterson, Director of Software Development. “We heard loud and clear that Revit users wanted to link PDF and Word documents to their Revit files and saw an opportunity to add this functionality to Ideate Sticky, which was already designed to link Excel files into Revit. We are thrilled to announce that we enhanced the Ideate Sticky application, and now linking PDF and Word documents to Revit files is not only possible, it’s easy and it performs beautifully.”
Enhancements to Ideate Sticky, which supports the current version of Revit (2021) as well as three previous Revit versions (2020-2018) will allow users to:
- Link Microsoft Word documents into Revit projects
- Link PDF files into Revit, even multi-paged PDF documents
- Link Excel spreadsheets to Revit files as images when greater visual fidelity is needed
- Mass edit Ideate Sticky properties
- Update multiple documents linked into a Revit file—called Stickies—at once
- Have Stickies appear in black and white
Those who already subscribe to Ideate Sticky have access to the current Revit-compatible version (2021) plus three earlier versions (2020-2018), as well as access to point release improvements made during the subscription period. Those who aren’t subscribers can download a 14-day trial version or subscribe to the software from the Ideate Software website.
