Caldwell to Lead WSP USA Construction Services Practice in Texas

Howard Caldwell enhances WSP’s Texas-based team with more than three decades of leadership in the state’s construction market.

AUSTIN  — Howard Caldwell, a 35-year veteran of the Texas construction industry, will assume the role of Texas director of construction services at WSP USA, a leading engineering and professional services consultancy.

In his leadership role, Caldwell will act as an advisor to WSP’s on-site teams, and focus on regional business strategy, client engagement, key project pursuits and hiring and staff development to support a construction service team in growth mode.

Caldwell is a former area engineer with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) in Orange County and has 19 years of experience performing program management and construction management services for TxDOT, Harris County Toll Road Authority (HCTRA), Fort Bend Toll Road Authority and the North Texas Tollway Authority. He has played an integral part in delivering Texas’ first cable stayed bridge, the nation’s first all-electronic toll road for HCTRA, and the state’s first design-build highway construction contracts.
