Bernville, PA  – “East Coast Erosion Control continues to grow, and a website update was necessary for us keep the momentum” Diane Smith, President said with a smile as she introduced the website to East Coast Erosion Control staff recently.

East Coast Erosion Control is proud to announce the launch of our redeveloped website. This is not merely giving it a new look, as it now features online tools aimed to aid engineers and specifiers to access DOT information that in the past has proven to be difficult.

“For years, engineers have voiced their frustrations with being able to navigate state DOT websites to find current specs” shares Rodney Wynn, DOT Specialist. “We listened and created a tool on behalf of our industry friends and customers.”

The online tool allows users to download current erosion control specifications for each state, as well as directly access the corresponding Approved Products Lists (APL) and Qualified Products Listings (QPL). Going beyond departments of transportation, the online tool also includes specifications for the Erosion Control Technology Council (ECTC) and additional resources are continually being added. Our next update is expected to include Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) specifications.

East Coast Erosion Control has always held a goal of being there to fill our customers needs. Today, it goes beyond product offerings to ease the headaches of finding specification resources. The newly developed website can be found at www.ECErosion.com. The specification finder can be found by clicking the “DOT Approvals” navigation on said website.

This is not the first time, East Coast Erosion has created tools to ease the strain for specifiers. In March of 2019, East Coast Erosion launched an update to its free ECDesigner web tool and mobile app to assist engineers in the field to define site metrics and appropriate remedies. The mobile app includes a slope finder resource using the mobile devices camera to analyze the terrain.
