Melisa Montemayor joins HNTB as group director – engineering in San Antonio, Austin and El Paso
SAN ANTONIO – Melisa Montemayor joined HNTB Corporation as group director and vice president, based in the firm’s San Antonio office. She is responsible for direction and supervision of HNTB’s roadway engineering group, which serves a variety of transportation clients throughout the region.
Montemayor has nearly 25 years of transportation programming, design, environmental, planning, construction and maintenance experience. Previously, she spent her career serving the Texas Department of Transportation Laredo District in a variety of roles including transportation planning and programming director and district administrator.
“Melisa is highly regarded in the transportation industry and brings significant practical knowledge of the region’s transportation infrastructure,” said Alastair Miller, PE, HNTB Central and South Texas deputy office leader and vice president. “Her expertise and leadership will serve as catalysts for advancing complex projects and improving safety and mobility in the region.”
Montemayor earned a Bachelor of Arts in natural sciences (biology and chemistry) from the University of Texas at Austin. Her technical expertise culminated in a nomination by the TxDOT administration as National Academy of Sciences advisor.
In Central and South Texas, HNTB has shaped some of the region’s most significant infrastructure projects.
