Martha Kelly joins HNTB as senior technical advisor in Cincinnati

Her extensive experience serving the City of Cincinnati bolsters the firm’s capabilities locally and nationally

 
CINCINNATI – Martha Kelly, PE, joined HNTB Corporation as senior technical advisor, based in Cincinnati. Kelly provides services on a broad range of transportation and Smart Cities programs that HNTB supports across Ohio, Kentucky and throughout the U.S.

Kelly previously served the City of Cincinnati for 33 years in several transportation planning and design roles, including city traffic engineer. She was involved with a wide range of traffic engineering projects along with safety studies, event traffic control, street lighting design, complete street initiatives, road diets, and one-way to two-way conversions. Kelly also led efforts for the city on several regional planning and design projects, including the I-75 and Brent Spence Bridge corridors, the I-71 interchange at Martin Luther King, the Eastern Corridor, and the Western Hills Viaduct.

Kelly is actively involved with Architects and Professional Engineers in Cincinnati Service, where she has served in a variety of leadership positions. She earned a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering, graduating Summa Cum Laude, from the University of Cincinnati. 

HNTB has served on a variety of significant projects across Ohio, including as part of a design-build team for ODOT’s George V. Voinovich Bridge project in Cleveland, providing engineer-of-record and construction services for ODOT’s Jeremiah Morrow Bridge in Warren County, preparing an environmental impact statement, preliminary engineering and final design for the first phase and more of the Cleveland Opportunity Corridor Project, and others.
