R&R Engineers – Surveyors, Inc. Heralds in New Leadership, Company-Wide Cultural Shift & New Office

Denver, Colo. – R&R Engineers – Surveyors, Inc., a Denver-based land surveying and civil engineering firm operating primarily in the Rocky Mountain Region, announces that Tony Smith, PLS, is R&R’s new President and Douglas Dunkin, PE, will continue to be the company’s CEO.

The leadership changes are effective immediately.

As R&R’s President, Smith will be guiding operations and day-to-day activities. Smith has been with R&R since 2012. By 2016, he was running the entire Survey Department and had grown the field crew presence to 10 trucks and more than 25 team members, doubling the size of both. Now elevated to President, Smith continues to focus on internal culture and organic career growth for the company.

“Our internal culture has been redeveloped to devote particular focus to our clients and to our employees,” says Smith. “We are dedicated to the highest caliber customer service possible and to our staff and their career development. These changes reflect years of preparation and strategy.”

Dunkin began his R&R career in 1994. He became part owner in 1996 and sole owner in 2003. As CEO, he will continue to develop client relations and evaluate strategic opportunities for the firm’s future.

“We have carefully modulated our growth and our vision,” says Dunkin. “Today our company expectations and goals are broader and more wide-ranging than ever before.”

In addition to the new leadership shift, the company will move from its West Colfax facilities, where R&R has operated since 2007, into newly built headquarters located at 1635 W. 13th Avenue in Denver in early summer 2019. The move provides a 21st-century designed workspace that prioritizes employee needs and functional design for client support.

Since 1988, R&R has turned referred clients into repeat customers. Collectively, R&R staff brings over 150 years of combined knowledge, expertise and advanced qualifications to clients’ projects and the surrounding communities.
