Applied Bolting Technology

Applied Bolting Technology produces DuraSquirt DTIs. Each DuraSquirt DTI supplies an easy to see, bright orange indicator to quickly show when bolts have been properly tensioned.

Since AASHTO specification includes Self-Indicating DTIs to signal when sufficient bump compression has been reached, bridge construction can benefit from visual installation and inspection without the daily hassles, costs and inaccuracies of torque testing and match-marking.

One DOT compared Turn-of-Nut to Squirter DTIs. They found the Squirter DTIs saved them $1 a bolt on installation and inspection after they recouped the initial cost of the DTI. This resulted in less than 1% rejection rate.

Bull Moose Tube

Founded in 1962, Bull Moose Tube boasts more than a half-century of steadfast commitment to serving customers requiring steel pipe and tube. One key contributor to our quality is our unique manufacturing method. Bull Moose forms tube directly from steel coil, eliminating a mother tube or prior stage process. This approach enables us to start with only the highest grade steel, create less scale, form sharper corners, craft the straightest tube, and make the most consistent welds. Unique products include our 110 KSI Stratusteel tube, the strongest, lightest tube in the market and our Weathering Grade Tube, the low-cost, no-maintenance alternative for outdoor bridge applications.  Our seven manufacturing facilities in North America help ensure consistent product availability, while our sales team maintains straightforward and transparent business practices for consistent reliability. CivilGEO

CivilGEO develops civil engineering software that greatly speeds up an engineer’s work. CivilGEO’s first product, GeoHECRAS, automates much of the workflow required for constructing and analyzing a HEC-RAS model. Users typically save at least 50% of their engineering time using the advanced automation that the software provides. The software can be used to analyze existing bridge and culvert structures as well as design new roadway crossing structures. The software tightly integrates with Autodesk Civil 3D, Bentley MicroStation as well as Esri’s ArcGIS and ArcMap. A 1D or 2D analysis can be performed for bridges and culverts, including performing bridge scour computations. A free demonstration version of GeoHECRAS is available for trial.

Lindapter

Established in 1934, Lindapter designs and manufactures unique steel-to-steel connection systems, which provide a faster alternative to drilling or welding in the field. ICC approved Girder Clamps are ideal for use on bridges, as new steel components can be lifted into position and quickly clamped onto the existing structure using standard tools.

Lindapter’s product line includes the ICC approved Hollo-Bolt for HSS and also floor fasteners such as the Grate-Fast. Typical applications include securing reinforcing steel frames to the underside of a bridge deck, supporting pipework from the structural frame and attaching open bar grating to form maintenance walkways. Bridge projects include Manhattan, Benjamin Franklin, Alexander Hamilton, Walt Whitham and Goethals bridges. No drilling or welding results in unparalleled flexibility and time savings during installation, but also eliminates hot permits and associated costs.
